ProphetX Partners with Players’ Lounge to Deliver CFTC-Regulated Sports Event Contracts to Competitive Gamers

Players Lounge and Prophet X partnership

Competitive gamers who already put real money on the line in skill-based contests just gained a powerful new option. ProphetX and Players’ Lounge announced a strategic partnership that integrates federally regulated sports event contracts directly into the Players’ Lounge platform. As a result, millions of users can now trade on real-world sports outcomes without leaving their familiar gaming environment.

In time for the upcoming football season, integration went live this week, powering event contracts through ProphetX’s CFTC-certified infrastructure. Traders access markets covering NFL game results, NBA player props, tournament brackets, and championship futures. The platform continues adding contracts on a rolling basis, with expansions planned ahead of the upcoming NFL season.

Jake Benzaquen, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at ProphetX, highlighted the natural fit:

“Players’ Lounge has built something genuinely rare: a platform where a new generation of sports fans already shows up, competes, and has real money on the line. That community deserves access to the most competitive, transparent markets on the planet — and that’s exactly what ProphetX provides.”

How the Integration Works for Skill-Based Gaming Fans

Players’ Lounge has long focused on real-money contests across titles such as Madden NFL, NBA 2K, Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Apex Legends. The platform has facilitated more than $250 million in skill-based wagers since its 2016 launch. Backed by investors including Drake, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick, Comcast Ventures, and Samsung Next, Player’s Lounge attracts a digitally native audience deeply familiar with both video games and professional sports leagues.

Under the new agreement, Players’ Lounge acts as the distribution layer while ProphetX supplies the full exchange and clearing technology. All trades execute on ProphetX’s CFTC-designated contract market and clear through its registered derivatives clearing organization. Eligible users complete a standard Know Your Customer (KYC) process before trading begins. Consequently, the experience stays seamless inside the existing Players’ Lounge interface. This type of UX heavily favors higher adoption rates by existing gamers.

Austin Woolridge, Chief Executive Officer of Players’ Lounge, described the alignment clearly:

“Prediction markets on ProphetX are a perfect fit for what Players’ Lounge is all about: putting your knowledge to work in a fair, skill-driven environment. We’re excited to give our community a regulated, exchange-based way to trade on the games they care about most.”

Initial event market offerings concentrate on major professional sports including the NFL, NBA, and international soccer. Additional contracts will appear continuously, giving traders fresh opportunities tied to the sports calendars they already follow closely.

What Competitive Gamers Stand to Gain from Regulated Sports Event Contracts

For the average Players’ Lounge user, the addition opens new doors inside a pure skill-gaming environment. Instead of limiting competition to head-to-head matches in video games, traders can now apply their sports knowledge to NFL results, NBA props, and championship futures. The trading process remains familiar because everything happens within the same real-money platform they already use daily.

Sports Event Contracts as a Share of Total Volume

ProphetX positions this launch as the first of many B2B collaborations planned for the summer and later this year. The company designed its exchange specifically to serve platforms that already command engaged audiences ready to apply sports knowledge to prediction markets. By embedding the technology inside Players’ Lounge, ProphetX reaches traders who prefer skill-driven settings.

Sports event market trading remains available only to eligible users in applicable jurisdictions. Prices form through the two-sided marketplace itself, where buyers and sellers meet directly to trade contract positions.

Early activity already shows interest from the core community. As more contracts launch and awareness spreads, trade volume is expected to rise steadily through the remainder of the summer and into the major fall sports calendar.
